Open call to participate in the study (Re) positioning the region(s) of Southeast Europe through culture

With the aim of joint defining of recommendations for the development of the South Eastern Europe region within the Forum, Creative Europe Desk Serbia organise conduct of the research (Re) positioning of the South Eastern European region(s) through culture.

The research will be carried out in all countries of the region and it will be managed to map and analyse: the presence of artists from the region on relevant international manifestations, most important projects and initiatives of regional cooperation, strategic documents and legal framework of regional cooperation, content of tourist promotional campaigns of South Eastern Europe countries. The research also includes surveying cultural professionals with the topic of strategic directions of development of South Eastern Europe region through culture.

We are kindly inviting you to participate through your answering fifteen questions in the research the results of which can be useful in various ways for strategic planning of cultural development of countries in South Eastern Europe.

The results will be published in a publication and presented and discussed at a regional conference organised by the Creative Europe Desk Serbia, Creative Europe Forum 2017, from 18th to 21st April in Belgrade.

If you wish to do so, we will be grateful if you forward our questionnaire to your colleagues.

The questions are in English and we are kindly asking you to reply in English, but if this is difficult for you, you can reply in your mother tongue and we will translate.


“Creative Europe Programme: from idea to application” Workshop in Novi Sad

We announce that the Creative Europe Desk Serbia in cooperation with the Novi Sad Fair and Foundation Novi Sad 2021 will organise a workshop on applying to the competition of the Creative Europe Programme for support to projects of European cooperation, on 8th and 9th of March 2017 in the Master Center Novi Sad, Hajduk Veljkova St 11.

The workshop is primarily dedicated to the institutions/organisations preparing documents to apply to competitions of the Creative Europe Programme, but also to all interested cultural professionals from the Novi Sad and the surrounding districts who want to get informed and trained to apply for the Creative Europe Programme.

The programme is designed so it responds to all important questions related to applying: which competitions exist and whom are these meant for; how and where to find partners; what are the priorities of the programme and how to design a project in accordance with them; which are all the projects that received support and why.

Applications are necessary, and since a part of the programme of the workshop will be dedicated to application ideas, we are asking everyone interested in participating to prepare short descriptions of project ideas they would use to apply for the competitions of the Creative Europe Programme.

The application should include: Name of the professional applying, name of the organization and the short description of the project idea. You can send the application to: kreativna.evropa.radionice@gmail.com untill 3rd of March 2017.

Open Call Support to European Platforms 2017

Within the Programme Creative Europe, on 1st of February 2017 European platforms open call was open The deadline for applications is 4th February 2017.

This measure offers action grants to organisations showcasing and promoting European creators and artists, especially emerging talent, through a genuine Europe-wide programming.

They shall join together within a platform with a view to bringing to the fore their common artistic vision and to helping its members to improve their audience development techniques.

What does it support?

– the mobility of creators and artists

– promotion and showcasing of emerging talent from other European countries

– stimulating a genuine Europe-wide programming of cultural and artistic activities

– contribution to audience development

– providing visibility to Europe’s values and different cultures

The funding available includes support for implementing a communication and branding strategy, including, where appropriate, the development of a European quality label.
