The project “Through imaginative games and playful stories to a creative childhood” of the Publishing House Propolis Books, specialised in literature for children and youth, encompasses 8 books with the age span from 3 to 19 years old. The selected books are coming from Belgium (French speaking area), Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Finland (Swedish speaking area) and the United Kingdom.

Since in their thematic frameworks these books are playing with thematic frameworks of fairytales or traditional elements of science fiction such as time travel or epic fantasy, this represented the starting point of imaginative play for us; taking into consideration the creative zest of the authors of these books who developed playful stories dealing with different aspects of childhood and growing up, and encourage their readers to contemplate, toy, play about and additionally fanaticise, we reached amazing stories.

Some of the selected books in this project are real classics and they have been enriching childhoods of their readers for over thirty years while others just started their life in the hands of the reading audience. Since in all selected books there is either a possible theatrical element or some of these books have already been set on stage or TV and cinema movies were made based on them, we saw an opportunity here to enhance this aspect of theatrical play and additionally fanaticising a high quality story through the interactive promotions we are recognisable by, thus opening another door to the creative childhood of our readers.
