Literary Translation in Creative Europe

In cooperation with the EU Info Centre and Serbial Literary Society, Creative Europe Desk Serbia is organising a presentation of experiences gained through participation of Serbia at the competition for literary translation on Wednesday 26th September at 1 p.m. in the premises of Serbian Literary Society (7 Francuska St).

The event is taking place on the occasion of the European Day of Languages and the event programme will present projects of domestic publishing houses participating in the Creative Europe programme:

Marija Vukosavljević from the “Odiseja” publishing house will speak about the experience of applying for several years and the current project “Old Continent, New People: Finding Your Own Place”.

Nina Gugleta from the “Areté” publishing house will present the first literary translation project within the Creative Europe programme, and also new titles recently published through the project “European Literature Today: Universal Stories of Personal Revolutions”.

Ljubica Pupezin from the “Štrik” publishing house will present the project “Women’s Decameron: for a New Renaissance in European Literature”, which also received the support of the programme last year.

The discussion will be moderated by Nina Mihaljinac, Project Manager of the Creative Europe Desk Serbia.
