Presentation of the project Creatour, organised by the Creative Europe Desk Serbia – subprogramme Culture and the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policy and Management. The lecture of Nancy Duxbury, a researcher on the project, will take place on 4th June at 6 p.m. in the premises of Nova Iskra (43 Gavrila Principa St) in Belgrade.
CREATOUR is a three-year-long research project linking culture, heritage, tourism and local development and examining the development of creative tourism in small cities and rural areas across Portugal, using a bottom up approach, ideas and experiments, and also knowledge acquired through networking.
The project is comprised of five research centres and forty pilot projects independently designed, implemented and conducted in four regions. Taking into consideration the limited knowledge about models of creative tourism in small communities and rural areas, these pilot projects are also research stations examining the possibilities in the development, approach and challenges of creative tourism. The lecture is an overview of implemented projects and lessons learned during the implementation.
The lecture will be delivered in English.
Admission is free of charge.
