Call for Volunteers at the Creative Europe Forum 2019

After Niš and Novi Sad, Creative Europe Desk Serbia is organising the 5th Creative Europe Forum in Belgrade, and the topic of this year’s event is: In what way can projects and models of organisation in culture encourage cooperation, fighting hate, stereotypes and different forms of social inequality. With the idea of the necessity of strengthening cooperation and networking, the Forum implies horizontal ways of learning, exchange, inclusion and connecting of domestic and foreign professionals in the domain of culture.

Creative Europe Forum 2019 is an international conference taking place on 7th and 8th of November in the Foundation of Ilija M. Kolarac, EU Info Centre, Nordeus Centre and Club DIM, a with the aim of more successful realisation of the Creative Europe Desk Serbia wanting to expand their team.

We invite young people, students of the faculties of art and social sciences who like to talk and speak English, participate or follow events in culture and art, and who are especially interested in international cooperation and meeting relevant cultural professionals, to send their short biography and statement of motivation to participate in the Creative Europe Forum 2019 to the email address kreativnaevropa@kultura.gov.rs at latest by Wednesday 30th October at noon.

The programme of the Forum is organised in three blocks: Critical thinking and media literacy, Participatory management in culture, Horizontal knowledge, and in the application you can note which topic is of interest to you. The selected candidates will have an opportunity to get included into the tasks of: 1) promoting events (distributing promotional material and sending invitations, social media management, help with spatial branding and other), 2) organization of the Forum (technical and other support in relation to the programme of events), 3) communication with participants and giving information about the event programme (greeting guests and participants, information about special parts of the programme and other).

Participation in the Forum can bring you:

– professional experience in organisation of international events;

– spending time and the possibility of meeting cultural professionals from Serbia and Europe (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Georgia, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Ukraine, Montenegro);

– certificate of volunteer internship at the Creative Europe Desk Serbia.

Candidates selected based on applications will be invited for an interview on 1st November at noon in the premises of the Creative Europe Desk Serbia.
