Workshop of project writing: Stepping onto the international scene – possibilities and challenges

The workshop has the aim of familiarising participants with the topic of international cultural cooperation, and especially with specific possibilities for development of organisations through positioning on the international scene. The workshop is comprised of the introductory lecture (30 minutes); work in groups on concept creation and development of chosen project ideas the aim of which should be international positioning and development of international cooperation (1h 30 minutes); presentation of projects (30 minutes); discussion and comments (30 minutes).

Group will be formed with regards to the type of institution workshop participants come from (museums, libraries, archives, cultural centres …).

Who is it for?

The workshop is intended for programme editors of city cultural institutions: museums, galleries, libraries, cultural centres, archives and other.

What kind of knowledge and skills will participants acquire?

Participants will have an opportunity to improve knowledge in terms of creating concepts of international cooperation projects and development of strategic thinking in culture.

How to apply to participate?

In order to apply to participate it is necessary to send an idea for an international cooperation project (text of up to 300 words) which will contain: name of the project; project aims, content (activities), and also justification of potentials of the idea for development of international cooperation. Applications should be sent to the email address radionice.kreativnaevropa@gmail.com until 25th October at noon.

The number of participants is limited to 25 people. Up to 5 projects will be selected to work on within the workshop, while other participants will be able to ask questions in relation to their own project ideas.

Who will lead the workshop?

Dr Milena Dragićević Šešić is a university professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts of the University of Arts in Belgrade, Director of the Institute for Theatre, Film, Radio and Television of FDA and Head of UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policy and Management at the University of Arts in Belgrade. Dragićević Šešić performed the position of the Rector of the University of Arts in Belgrade (2000-2004) and a member of the Board for the European Diploma in Managing Cultural Projects (Foundation Marcel Hicter, Brussels); Cultural awards for researching policy (ECF, Amsterdam) etc. She is engaged as a guest lecturer on numerous universities in Europe and the world. She published 16 books and numerous essays (Culture of resistance; Art management in turbulent circumstances; Culture: management, animation, marketing; Intercultural mediation in the Balkans; Neofolk culture; Art and alternative; Urban spectacle; Reading horizons …), which were translate into 17 languages. She was a member of the National Council for Science and Technology (2006-2010), and also Commandeur dans l’Ordre des Palmes Academikues (2003).
