Info Session – How to Apply for Funds Intended for Culture?

EU Info Point Novi Sad in cooperation with the Creative Europe Desk Serbia are organising a two-day info session about writing projects for funds intended for cultural programmes. The info session is organised in two stages, specifically on 16th and 17th December from 6 p.m. – 7.30 p.m. Participating in info sessions is free of charge, however, due to the limited number of seats it is necessary to register. The aim of the meeting is increasing the quality of project preparation in applying to programmes, with a special focus on the Creative Europe programme and the support to cultural cooperation projects in the Western Balkans.

Day 1.
On the first day the topic of the training will be project concept and idea development – how to form the core idea of the project, the starting point for the idea – the needs of culture and characteristics of the field of activity, how to define activities so they are varied, innovative and contributing to the realisation of the project idea; how to map the aims and target groups, whom the project is addressing and to whom it is referring; how to create a realistic and feasible realisation timeline plan; and how to create a partnership structure with other legal persons and individuals. The form of training is intended to be carried out through dialogue and with a focus on questions of participants.

Day 2.
On the second day the topic is managing a project – defining all obligations within the project, roles and work of the project team; financial and legal activities, budgeting and financial management; communication with relevant bodies of organisations and realisation of individual activities; communication and relationships with partners; promotion and dissemination of the project, public relations; modifications of the project; writing the narrative and the financial report. The form of training is intended to be carried out through dialogue and with a focus on questions of participants.

Info sessions will be led by Luka Кulić, employee of the Gallery of Matica srpska where he is tasked with organisation and production of exhibitions and other public events. Luka is also an associate of the Creative Europe Desk Serbia within the EU programme Creative Europe with regards to tasks of applicant education, applicant counselling, financial management, delivering lectures and workshops, writing the narrative and the financial reports and other activities.
