Šibenik Wind Symphony Orchestra
Tangible culture – historical sites and buildings

Šibenik Wind Symphony Orchestra is an amateur orchestra founded in 1848. The Orchestra has 80 members (60 adults and 20 youth). Our players have mixed ability and some have been music professionals. We play a broad range of repertoire which is challenging, rewarding and reflects the make-up of our orchestra like a followed by rock performance called “Rock Vol. 1 and 2”. From classic rock to the top songs currently on the charts, the orchestra rocked the rocks of St. Michael's Fortress in City of Sibenik. Our goal is to help kids thrive through music, to support the musical education of our young musicians, to promote a varied repertoire for wind orchestra, as well as to promote exchanges between different countries. The orchestra is conducted by professional conductors and tutors from Croatia. The aim of Orchestra is to provide a high quality enjoyable musical experience for all woodwind, brass and percussion musicians. The Orchestra’s aim is to encourage the interest of wind band musicians of any age and to give them plenty of experience of playing in public. The Orchestra aims to grow the role of orchestras in society by taking music closer to people.
